How we met We met through mutual friends on a waterskiing weekend away.
The proposal We were holiday in the Whitsundays and Pete arranged a helicopter flight for two to Whitehaven Beach. The piolt landed on the beach and then set up a picnic tent and left us for a 2 hour champagne picnic totally secluded on the beach!
Summary of the big day Absolutely amazing. The weather was sunny and mild and could not have been better for early September. Everyone went to such great effort to look so handsome and glam- it was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. The reception was exceptional- food, wine, service, style- absolutley perfect. The entire day was perfect in everyway
Fondest Memory Walking down the aisle to the song especially chosen by Pete and realising how much love, friendship, and support surrounded us on our special day, and knowing that we will always have this in our lives.
Funniest Moment Pete telling the guests "I've got them on remote control" as a swan and her fluffy cygnet swam over to Pete and I as we stood at the edge of the lake.
Worst Moment Not having enough time to properly thank everyone during the farewells...the taxi had been waiting for 15 minutes by the time we left the reception and we still didn't get to thank everyone!
Money Saving Ideas Make invites/bomboniere/flowers/cake- whatever you feel confident with or can enlist others to help you with. It makes the occasion even more special to be able to say that you made things yourself.
Bride's/Groom's advice Advice to the bride- get to the hair salon EARLY- hair styling always seems to take much longer than anticipated. And eat a good breakfast and lunch.
What we would do differently Extend the reception by an hour- neither of us wanted the party to end!

Feedback
Ceremony Short and sweet and the added humour by Chaplin Acton kept guests amused. The sun shining through the window on us was amazing and being able to have a photo with all the guests on the steps outside was really great too.
Reception Venue Stunning. Words cannot describe how fantastic The Boat House was, everything went without a hitch, and totally exceeded our expectations.
Photography Locations The Carillion was a bit windy, but photos at The Boat House were great, the deck was perfect and the lake was beautiful as the sun set.
Hair I felt a bit time poor when we left the salon, but it was worth the hours of primping to have the beautiful curls I ended up with.
Make-up I would highly recommend Rebecca to anyone- she put my mind at ease right from the start and made myself and the girls look and feel amazing on the day.
Transport Very professional, and willing to drive us wherever we wanted to go!
Honeymoon We will be returning to Daintree Views for sure- total seclusion and peaceful bliss.
